Managing the Media and Customer
Engagement team keeps Rachel Groves busy with the press office, digital
and marketing departments at Severn Trent Water. Rachel’s team regularly
distribute information about how Severn Trent Water supports WaterAid
which spurred her to get involved with the trek. Rachel is a keen runner
and has participated in a few marathons for charity, but nothing on
this scale, she will be seen striding up the 7 flights of stairs to get
to her office in preparation. “It is a life changing opportunity to both
help raise awareness and funds for the people in Tanzania who struggle
daily for clean water and to visit one of the most incredible place on
