Andrew requests a big shout out to Hannah and Matthew Fairburn for lending the team their toy Monkey; he's loving the trek as much as the rest of the team!
Andrew says the best part of the hiking for him, apart from the scenery is the team bonding. We're getting to know each other quite well; learning interesting facts about each other that normally we wouldn't have had the opportunity to find out. Today Neil has told us that whilst attending university he joined a ballroom dancing class because he felt it was the best place to meet girls, much to the scorn of his friends. They quickly joined up when Neil introduced them to his new girlfriend, whom then went on to become his wife!
Eva has reported that she is 'pleased as punch' to have completed the Barranco wall today and having climbed it, she didn't know what she was worrying about, but it isn't something she's in a hurry to do again soon!
"The wall has been alright today actually, a little scary in places but you're so focused on actually climbing it you forget the aches and pains of your arms and legs and before you know it you're at the top. I'm so pleased (and relieved!) to have achieved this today because it's my Mum's birthday and I've been thinking of her all day. Happy Birthday Mum!"
